Plastic Composite Sheet Extrusion Line

The plastic composite sheet extrusion line is a highly automated industrial production system. It is primarily designed to produce multi-layer plastic sheets or boards in a single, continuous process. 

This is achieved by feeding two or more types of plastic raw materials with different properties through a series of continuous processes, including melting, co-extrusion, lamination, and cooling.

This production line is widely used in modern industry. Below is a core introduction to its functions and structure:

⚙️ Core Working Principle Simply put, this production line operates like a precision assembly line. 

It utilizes two or more extruders to heat, melt, and plasticize different plastics (such as PP, PE, PS, PC, ABS, etc.) separately. 

These molten materials are then fed into a specialized die (a manifold or co-extrusion die head) where they converge. Ultimately, they are extruded into a single sheet with a multi-layer structure, much like a "sandwich".

Main Components of the Production Line A complete plastic composite sheet extrusion line typically consists of the following core parts:

• Extrusion System: The "heart" of the production line, composed of single-screw or twin-screw extruders, responsible for melting and plasticizing the plastic pellets.
• Screen Changer & Melt Pump: Responsible for filtering impurities from the melt and ensuring the material enters the die at a constant pressure and flow rate.
• Co-extrusion Die (T-Die): Evenly distributes and combines the molten material from different extruders within the die to form a multi-layer structure.
• Three-Roll Calender (Polishing Unit): Polishes and shapes the high-temperature sheet extruded from the die, while controlling its final thickness.
• Cooling and Haul-off System: Allows the sheet to cool down and solidify completely via a cooling rack, and then steadily pulls it out using a haul-off machine.
• Cutting and Winding System: Trims the edges, cuts the sheet transversely, or automatically winds it into rolls according to requirements.
